Richmond residents can now get enhanced access to online services through the new MyRichmond portal launched on Wednesday, May 30, which features a Single Sign-On functionality to allow users to access all online services with one password.

“Simple and instantaneous access to City information is important to Richmond residents”, said Mayor Malcolm Brodie. “The launch of the MyRichmond portal represents another significant step forward in our efforts to improve how the City engages with our community, and demonstrates our commitment of an innovative digital strategy to make life better for all Richmond residents.”

This new web service will provide an improved experience to stay informed and manage personalized City information online. Three new features are now available to those that sign up including:

  • MyHome, which provides a combined view of important home information including property tax account, utility account and garbage and recycling schedule;

  • MyVoice, which provides a record and tracking of customer service requests made to the City;

  • MyProfile, which manages customer identification and communication preferences.

Future improvements and services will be released in a phased approach, and soon, there will be even more services for both residents and businesses. Features like MyCommunity will allow tracking of recreation courses registration and quick access to special events and drop-in program information, whereas the MyHome section will soon feature dog licence account registration and renewals.

While these services are already available online, the key difference of MyRichmond is the Single Sign-On feature. Currently, many of the online services offered by the City require you to set up a separate account, each with a different set of credentials. MyRichmond will allow you to access a variety of services with a single sign-on experience, using just one password. The information will be displayed in user-friendly personalized dashboards that can be customized by the user.

Register by visiting and look for the My Richmond button in the top right corner to get started.

MyRichmond has already been judged a winner. The City of Richmond recently received a Smart 50 Award in the Governance category for its initial development of MyRichmond.

The Smart 50 Awards annually recognize global smart cities projects, honouring the most innovative and influential work. An international completion, presented by Smart Cities Connect, US Ignite, and the Smart Cities Connect Foundation, the award recipients consist of municipal-scale projects that exemplify innovation and concrete influence in their community or communities.
